Account Executive


This position will provide support to the account team on various accounts, with a growing level of media expertise. The ideal candidate will have worked within the agency setting and demonstrate a passion for creativity, strong writing and a team- player attitude.

Responsibilities

  • Prioritize own work, meet deadlines, and actively communicate progress and deliverables
  • Build a network of traditional and online media contacts – create targeted media lists for broadcast, online, and print outlets, as well as digital influencers.
  • Draft pitches and conduct proactive outreach to media outlets.
  • Draft press materials, ensuring quality and consistency such as press releases, media alerts, fact sheets, bios, and case studies.
  • Daily client interaction to update reports and discuss media relations.
  • Responsible for daily account management activities, such as recaps, activity reports, media monitoring and coordination of all necessary materials for client accounts.
  • Attend and facilitate media interviews/editor desk side appointments; network with reporters and editors.
  • Participate in brainstorming sessions to develop strategic/creative thinking for clients and new business opportunities.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to develop and implement successful PR campaigns.
  • Supervise and manage junior staff on respective accounts on account management, research, projects and more.
  • Complete individual tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Serve as an active member of the team and demonstrate team-player attitude.

Senior Account Executive / Account Manager

Responsibilities

Influencer Engagement

  • Build and grow relationships with key, senior level media/influencers
  • Identify global, digital and social communication trends; educate clients/agency
  • Conceive and tell strategic stories apart from client business milestones
  • Manage junior level staff on global influencer processes and trends

Client Engagement

  • Begin anticipating client communication challenges and develop recommendations
  • Contribute to development and implementation of communication strategies
  • Execute tasks associated with projects; may lead certain aspects of project
  • Oversee client meetings, agendas and recaps
  • Begin to understand clients’ business model, key markets, influencers and theimpact on client/business narrative

Media Engagement

  • Develop and sustain positive media rapport
  • Cross develop media relationships with your superiors and colleague

Digital Acumen and Strategic Thinking

  • Develop and execute integrated communication plans
  • Participate in budget and resource management and tracking team utilization
  • Drive cross-team integration/ collaboration
  • Build awareness and showcase capabilities, talent and results internally andexternally

People Leadership

  • Be a peer resource to staff, interns and new hires
  • Manage up to senior staff
